Ah, January. ‘Tis the season of holiday aftermath and resolutions that may not be as resilient as one had intended. Life slows a bit as our recent feasts are now memories and we’ve got the whole year ahead of us. It’s like that shiny new bike you got oh so many holidays ago; ready for you to hop on board and ride into the sunset. The year is malleable and sort of mysterious. What will it bring? One year from now we hope that our new bikes are still intact and as pristine as they were on day one, or that we take the nicks and scratches with grace – but the future is unknown. So then, how ‘bout we start off the year as spectacularly as possible with one careful foot in front of the other? Let’s enjoy each step in our crazy journey and take time to smell the literal roses. Or different forms of pine until roses make their appearance.
While we are going to take more time to breathe and revel in more moments in 2012, t’will be done with a cocktail in hand. To us, the new entry in our Cocktail Chronicles looks crazy-delicious. If this is what a blizzard looks like, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
